Sirolli Institute Fall Forum

Karmi Green, Facilitator for Prairie Enterprise Project, attended a forum September 15th through the 17th, in Savannah, Missouri. The Sisters of St Francis Provincial House and Northwest Missouri Enterprise Facilitator, Annette Weeks, hosted the event. MWMEF board of directors was present for the welcome meal on Wednesday evening.

Facilitators and board members from New York, the Congo, Georgia, Toronto and Kingston, Ontario, South Dakota, Missouri, Edmonton Canada and Kansas were in attendance. There were sessions on Team Building, Project Ups and Downs, Fundraising 101, Event Planning and Marketing for our projects. We shared information about our projects and discussed the diverse ways that we all get to the same destination. All of us support entrepreneurs and share a common goal to provide the tools for success. We also hope that if a business venture has little chance of success the entrepreneur will realize it through the time spent with our network.

Prairie Enterprise Project began in February of 2003. PEP is a joint effort between Barton, Edwards and Russell counties designed to help develop new businesses and expand existing businesses through Enterprise Facilitation. To date our project has assisted 484 clients open and expand 101 businesses creating 327 jobs.

Our project works with a board of individuals from our three county areas all of whom are dedicated to seeing the region grow and prosper. If you are interested in participating on our board contact me.
